A Waste Heat Recovery Boiler installed downstream of turbines or engines can utilize the waste gas heat (cogeneration heat and power). Therefore, the heat in those flue gases can be used again to generate more steam. Reducing fuel costs and overall energy consumption directly decreases CO2 emissions, thereby mitigating the greenhouse effect and enhancing overall system efficiency.
In CHP plants, HRSGs are used to produce both electricity and useful thermal energy (steam or hot water) for industrial processes, district heating, or other heating/cooling needs.
Various industries utilize HRSGs to recover heat for different purposes:
Petrochemical and Refineries
Pulp and Paper Mills
Steel Plants
Chemical Production
Waste Incineration Plants
